PW Adv. Skating & Puck Skills
Session Focus
These clinics will concentrate on helping players become more dangerous and confident with the puck while moving
Areas of emphasis include:
- Pivots with the puck
- Forward-to-backward transitions
- Directional changes
- Edge control while handling the puck
- Puck protection
- Tight-area puck control
- Playing at speed without losing possession
Why This Matters
Many young players can handle the puck well when standing still or skating slowly.
The next stage of development is learning to execute skills at game speed.
The goal of these sessions is to help players:
- Keep their heads up while handling the puck
- Move confidently in traffic
- Attack space with speed
- Make plays without slowing down
- Become more effective in game situations
Ultimately, we're looking to develop players who are comfortable making skilled plays while moving at full speed and under pressure.
Small Group Format
Sessions will be intentionally limited in size to to maximize repetitions, coaching feedback, and individual attention.
Times: Mondays, 7:00PM-8:00PM
Location: ISCC, Training (Mini) Rink
