There have been some exciting changes in the Simsbury Youth Hockey Association (SYHA) Mite Hockey and Hockey Stars programs.  Briefly;

• The very successful ISCC Hockey Stars program under Paul Faulkner has been merged with SYHA, providing a seamless transition for players of all ages and abilities;
• SYHA (and Hockey Stars) will accept Mite players from any local area towns;
• There will be only one Mite travel team (15 skaters and 1-2 goalies), composed primarily of the older Mite players;
• There will be a larger Mite House program consisting with one practice session during the week and one on Saturday mornings;
• There will be an optional skills development session on Friday evenings open to all Mite House players; and
• The Mite House program will emphasize skill development and take its lead from the USA Hockey guidelines for more cross-ice play.

• The Hockey Stars will continue to cost only $140 per session.
• Each Mite House session will cost $225 and there will be two sessions per year (Oct-Dec & Jan-Mar).
• The Mite House skills development program have an additional cost per session (2 sessions per year).
• The Mite Travel A program will cost $1,350 for the season.

• Hockey Stars Session 1: September 11, 18, 25, October 2, 9, 16, 23 (7 weeks)
• Hockey Stars Session 2:  Oct. 30, Nov. 6, 13, 20, Dec. 4, 11, 18 (7 weeks)
• Hockey Stars Session 3:  Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29, Feb. 5, 12, 19 (7 weeks)
• Hockey Stars Session 4:  Feb. 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26, Apr. 2, 9 (7 weeks)
• Hockey Stars Session 5:  Apr. 16, 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21, 28, June 4 (7 weeks)
